Cinemagraphs for the Mornings
Artist Statement
My theme is coffee and I wanted to show the time that passes as you get a cup. Coffee is something that most people drink and it is how most days begin. I thought it might be cool to depict this through Cinemagraphs. I attached my phone to my tripod to film these videos. I then edited them into Cinemagraphs in Photoshop and exported them as gifts. The biggest issue I had was making sure my Cinemagraphs didn't have any jumps or skips. Also, the fading of the clips to allow them to appear more smooth didn't work for all my Cinemagraphs. I imported those videos using video frames to layers. Then I copied, pasted, and reversed those frames in order to get that smooth transition.
