Digital Element - Spotify canvas featuring a line from the campaing’s anthem. For its strong and clear message, 'My body, my choice, my rights, my voice', has been a key phrase used by feminists at protests against Trump.
— Concept

This Project was an entry for D&AD / Google fonts competition. The brief called for a use of Google fonts with lyrics from a song, genre or musical movement to represent a cause. I went with the song Fight Like a Girl by Zolita.

Fight Like a Girl is a campaign that aims to encourage people to embrace feminism and fight against gender inequality.

President Trump’s government has suspended numerous measures against labour and salary discrimination, sexual harassment in the workplace and sexual abuse in schools and universities, along with other policies guaranteeing sexual and reproductive rights to women. Women have a moral right to decide what to do with their bodies and banning abortion puts women at risk by forcing them to use illegal abortionists.

A pregnancy to a woman is perhaps one of the most determinative aspects of her life. It disrupts her body. It disrupts her education. It disrupts her employment. And it often disrupts her entire family life.

By reclaiming a statement that’s historically been used to put down women, we're taking the negative connotation behind that phrase and turning it on its head.
