At Stevenson University, all graduating seniors must complete a capstone course, and as a Visual Communication Design major we are presented with the task of creating a design solution for a topic of our choosing as our capstone requirement. I chose to focus my topic on exposing the ugly side of the fast fashion industry along with our overwhelming consumption of clothing as a society.

My goal for this project is to encourage others to slow down fast fashion for good through education, empowerment, and understanding.

It is also important to note that during the semester of Spring 2020, the COVID-19 pandemic was occurring, which put our class in unprecedented circumstances. For the first time, our capstone exhibition would no longer be an in-person event, but rather had to quickly be transitioned into an online experience. In spite of the circumstances, this journey proved to be a tremendously rewarding experience.
