Use techniques learnt in Photoshop to recolour a black and white photograph, restore a damaged photography, retouch a photo for inclusion in a fashion magazine and remove items from a landscape.

We were given the above image and asked to recolour it using techniques available in Photoshop.

Below shows the before and after images.

The second part of the project was to restore an image that had been torn and very badly scratched.

Before (left) the photo has a line through his mouth and nose and a tear on the left hand side through his jacket.

After (right) the lines and tear have been carefully removed from the photo.

Retouch a photo for a fashion magazine picture

This model had a really shiny face. The task was to remove the shine from her forehead.

Finally we had to manipulate two further images by removing a shed and moving some birds around in the sky.

 

The image on the left shows the shed on the horizon. The right hand image has had the shed removed.

Before (left) the birds are all grouped together, after (right) the birds have altered positions.
