To have a red bike is all that he ever wanted.
I don’t know why it has to be red! Perhaps it’s the color of happiness to many young boys.

The boy gets his long-sought-after toy as a surprise gift from his grandfather. He likes his new bike and he immediately takes it out for a ride, but as he drifts away from his grandfather, his excitement fades and his desire to remain close to his grandfather takes over. He abandons it on the street and runs back for a hug from whom he truly loves.
