This illustration is inspired by the book "Siddhartha" by Herman Hesse. In the book, the youthful Siddhartha, living at the time of the Buddha, is captivated by the serenity and smile of Buddha. Siddhartha sets out on a lifelong journey to find enlightenment and the secret of the Buddha's smile. Siddhartha has many adventures but finally realises that doing what you do to the best of your ability and recognising the interconnectedness of all life is the secret he has been searching for. This image shows Siddhartha on the River of Life, setting out on his journey.
