As a tourist travelling for pleasure, absorbing the true essence of a place is the ultimate goal. Through the local food, cultural activities, or simply walking around and soaking in the beauty. Our senses come out to play, as we're breaking through the normativity of daily life. But we can't always be on holiday right?
We cram all of what we can juice from a place in the shortest time possible; which neither gives us the holistic experience we seek nor works beneficially for the location we ponder through. Small vacations may not be the best economically, socially and environmentally for tourist locations and my research visualisation is trying to understand the entire experience of travelling and scope of sustainability with its changing trends.
