STATEMENT:
“Species of spaces”, was taken into great account in the process of designing this shared house. It is a home of comfort for all of the living; humans, animals and even plants. The focal point of the design scheme is aimed towards complete energy efficiency, while running on renewables. With the help of solar glass that envelops the entirety of the ‘roof’ and sides of the house; rainwater can be collected and redirected towards the aquifer. The aquifer sits in what used to be dead space, underneath the ground floor lounge area and is visible from within the home through one of the various glass panels. Not only will it store rainwater, it will also circulate water throughout the home for plants, where needed. The abundance of natural light drawn in through large glass panels and a giant hammock above the terrace garden, will allow for a thriving green oasis within the home.
