A Nokia product demo featuring young love, IM and a very special Bunny
 
What is it?
When Nokia launch a range of messaging phones they wanted to communicate the inbuilt services as well as the feature set. We created a series of short films that would go beyond the usual dry product demos and create an emotional connection with the device.

 
The approach
We took the target audience for each of the three phones and identified their interests and pain points.  For the C3 the target was teens and one of the pain points we heard from them was being able to keep in touch with multiple people instantly so that you can live life more spontaneously.
 
I then wrote three scripts and worked with animation company Airside to turn them into short films.  In the original (Flash) version you could activate hot spots at key moments to see more information about the phone and interact with the characters.
 
Originally intended as ‘just’ a product demo, edited versions of the films were shown in key markets as the core campaign assets.
