花儿 (Flowers in Hangzhou)

花儿(Hua‘er)
These are drawings that inspired from the flowers I saw during my study in Hangzhou and from the pretty ladies walking with their bright and beautiful Hanfu (汉服)
Lotus (莲花 - lian hua)
Xihu or called West Lake in Hangzhou is the most beautiful place to visit in spring, where lotus flowers bloom at their finest. Feel the spring breeze and enjoy 'Chinese-painting' like scenery as you sit on a rowing boat. Sees the glittering Xihu under the beautiful sun.

Osmanthus (桂花 - gui hua)
Osmanthus is Hangzhou city's flower and since I knew this flower in Hangzhou, it has become my favourite flower. It blooms during autumn and no matter where you are in Hangzhou, you can always smell the sweet fragrance of Osmanthus. Because it only blooms in autumn, Osmanthus become the reminder that Autumn has come. Osmanthus often being used in dessert (famous Osmanthus cake) and tea.

Ginkgo (银杏叶 - yin xing ye)
Ginkgo, is another beautiful plant that I love in Hangzhou, especially during Autumn. Although I am not a fan of its flowers, but I love ginkgo leaves. I always like autumn ginkgo leaves because they turn golden. And because of their hand-fan shape, I decided to draw an empress holding a fan. It sures give you majestic vibe when you see the golden ginkgo.
