The myth of the wotgaleh mosque

Sulthoni Wotgaleh Mosque is one of the oldest mosques in Yogyakarta. Wotgaleh Mosque is located on Jalan Raya Berbah, Sendangtirto, Berbah, Sleman, Special Region of Yogyakarta.
The building with typical architecture of Yogyakarta Palace, until now looks still awake and still adorn every corner of the Sulthoni Wotgaleh Mosque. In fact, the surrounding community still makes the mosque as a place to conduct other religious activities.
Inside this mosque there is a sacred tomb. This tomb is the tomb of Prince Purbaya who also has a childhood name Raden Damar. He is the son of the first Islamic Mataram King of Garwoselir (concubine) named Niken Purwosari.
It was widely reported about the grave of the Wotgaleh mosque about the prohibition of planes from crossing the tomb area, as well as the tragedy of the crashed plane. "This place is sacred because frankly the plane doesn't dare to go this way. Most people who don't know why a plane doesn't dare to pass. There have been many incidents. Therefore, if the Danlanud changes on the pilgrimage here, "said the courtier.
So if the plane crashes close to the tomb area, this courtier says because of ignorance there is a sacred tomb. There are unwritten regulations for pilots not to cross over this sacred tomb. It was considered irrational, but this unwritten rule was also obeyed by the Indonesian Air Force at Adi Sucipto Air Force Base.
Besides this, an interesting thing that is routinely done every year in this mosque is the Nyadran Ageng event. Namely, the ambeng-ambeng (gunungan) ingkung rice carnival which is performed when welcoming the coming of the fasting month.
