PROJECT DESCRIPTION AND GOAL
Flora Margarine gave us the task to educate people on the health benefits of their product and how margerine is made. The goal was to shift the consumer’s mindset. The current stigma is that butter is healthier than Flora Margarine. Contrary to popular belief this is not the case. In fact Flora Margarine is made from pressed sunflower seeds, lint seeds and canola seeds, and therefore healthier than butter. At the pop-up activation we held live demonstrations on how margarine is made, and showed the consumer how to make margerine at home. Various finger food was available that was made from Flora Margarine. Famous cheffs were invited to cook Flora Margarine based dishes.

MY ROLL
I was part of conceptualising the campaign ideas. I was head of design on this project with the assistance of Siobhan Viljoen, graphic designer. I designed all visual elements such as signage, outside signage, window cladding and interior elements. I also had to design the visuals for a unique touch screen that explained to the consumer how to make Flora Margarine. I was art directed by creative director Thurlow Hanson-Moore.

PR
Flora supported the Health and Stroke Foundation by having a spinning bicycle in the store where the consumers can come and cycle for change. For every 1km cycled R5 was donated to the Health and Stroke Foundation.
