Self-Initiated Branding Project
I set standards for myself before starting this project. I wanted to create a coffee brand that included a name, logo, colors, packaging, etc.
Why did I do this self-initiated project? I am looking for jobs in branding; this will enrich my portfolio because it will showcase how I am able to create a brand and surrounding aspects (audience, package design, goals, printing, etc.) from scratch.
Thoughts and ideas for this project and company: Different symbols for light roast, medium roast, and dark roast on packaging so that customers can distinguish the roast easily on the packaging. Have mugs commisioned and sold in the store; local ceramic artists every month. The mugs will still be in branding guidlines (ie: colors, patterns). Reusable bean bags (purchase them in the store and then customers will receive a discount on their purchase if they bring in their reusable bean bags). Reusable bean bags will have block prints on them (still align with branding for business). Patterns and colors wil be repeated in the interior design, packaging/bean bags, mugs/cups, and overall branding.
